Nurturing Noosa’s Next Generation

At Stockwell, we have always been passionate about supporting the local communities in which we develop. We are dedicated to investing in the future by supporting professionals, young families and downsizers through increased housing, business, health, education and lifestyle options. As part of this mission, we're thrilled to unveil the plans for a modern, purpose-built early learning centre, forming an important part of the vision for the Noosa Business Centre.

In May 2022, we took the first step towards this goal by lodging a development application for the centre. We are eager to share how this planned early learning centre will not only enrich the lives of little ones but also create a balance for working parents within the business centre and the wider local community.

The early learning centre is located on Hofmann Drive and is proposed to comprise five activity rooms that can accommodate children from 0-5 years old and an outdoor play area of approximately 684m² that will be inclusive of scattered natural vegetation which will provide opportunity for children to lead their own learning in a natural environment.

We understand that work-life balance can be a juggling act, especially for parents working within the Noosa Business Centre and the local area. The planned early learning centre is designed with this challenge in mind, aiming to provide a convenient solution for early learning that is just a stone's throw away from workplaces. The centre has been strategically located along key pedestrian pathway linkages that connect to the future Innovation Hub to the south, retail and business to the north and future residential to the east and west.

A future Transit Hub will also be located approximately 300m north and can be conveniently accessed via the dedicated pedestrian pathway along the western boundary of the site.

The design of the centre is reflective of Noosa’s unique character and environment that allows the landscaping to be the focal point and in doing so, establish a park-like setting where 43.09% of the site is proposed as open space.

The centre will provide permanent places, where children can nurture their curiosity, creativity, and cognitive skills. Our focus on delivering an early education centre goes hand in hand with our commitment to the future of Noosa, as we believe that today's learners are tomorrow's leaders.

The early learning centre is just one part of the overall vision for the Noosa Business Centre. It's an example of how Stockwell is working to pave the way for a bright future for Noosa, providing jobs and essential facilities that contribute to its thriving community.

Approval for the early learning centre is anticipated to be received this year.
